Wateen Telecom is one of the major ISP in Pakistan and they also claims to provide services to various Mobile Operators for their GSM needs (mouth words). I am almost a daily user of http://speedtest.wateen.net for checking my ISP speed. Although Wateen itself use Ookla's speed test services (http://www.speedtest.net). I am wondering that why Wateen's license to use Ookla;s speedtest is expired and why Wateen is not trying to renew this. Almost two / three days going on and I am getting this error page;
as above page says that "The License for this Speed Test is either expired or invalid. Please contact the webmaster of this site to let them know". after this I search on Google about this and i really wonder that some local (Pakistan) website are embed Wateen Page in their website to get network traffic, like http://www.mobile2u.com.pk/blog/wateen_pakistan/wateen_speed_test.aspx. Although as per http:speedtest.wateen.net page request. I drop an email to Wateen as;
I hope they will soon get it back in working condition and people like me, who are using their services for cross check or totally relying on their speedtest will be served again. Thanks Wateen for proving a speedtest edge in Pakistan.
